First off i want to appolgize for the lack of updates. I have been watching WWE Programing though including The Slammy's Last monday night.
This Blog is about the Annual TLC PPV that WWE puts on in December.
I really enjoyed this ppv and it was a refreshing night. It made things pick up again as well as New YOUNG Champions. I loved every match and was not disappointed by any of them.
First Match:
United States Championship:
Dolph Ziggler (C) Vs Zack Ryder
Winner by Pinfall: And NEW US Champion, Zack Ryder!
My Pick: Zack Ryder
So with this match which was a very good showing by both men opening the show. I am 1-0. I wanted Zack to win and i thought he would. I want Zack to be ahead of the Mid -Card Division and have Dolph move up to the Main Event. He has worked his ass off and has had much better matches than most Main Eventers.
Match 2:
WWE Tag Team Championship:
Air Boom (C) Vs Primo and Epico
Winner by Pinfall: And Still Champions, Air Boom!
My Pick: Air Boom -
I am now 2-0 (which is a great start lol)
This was a entertaining Match, Nice to see a New Tag Team challenge for the Titles. Hopefully it continues however, i am not a fan of matches being added to a show during the show. With that though, there was 3 added like that which i was very upset with. However i was happy about there being 9 - 10 matches on the card.
Match 3:
Tables Match:
Randy Orton Vs Wade Barrett
Winner: Randy Orton
My Pick - Wade Barrett
So i am 2-1 but its ok. I enjoyed this match but the end was predictable. I called the ending which i guess isnt that big of a deal since im a ex wrestler, but i am sure many people did too. Overall though, it was a good showing by both men.
Match 4:
Diva's Championship:
Beth Phoenix (C) Vs Kelly Kelly
My Pick: Beth Phoenix
Winner: Still Champion, Beth Phoenix
3-1 is my record now
I enjoyed this match but once again it was one of the 3 added without being advertised. I'm not a fan of that but i did enjoy the match. I had a feeling Beth would retain. I don't like the fact they are making her weark and making Kelly so strong. It's a Given that Beth is stronger, so make her dominate.
Match 5:
Sledgehammer Ladder Match:
My Pick: Kevin Nash
Winner: Triple H
I am 3-2 now lol
I wanted Nash to win to pro - long the rival but i understand why Triple H won. It was a good showing by both men. people are upset that Nash botched the Pediagree..I don't see it that way. U know what i saw? a man selling a knee injury - HHH did bang his knees ALOT in the match. People look way into things way to much. I respect the hell out of Kevin Nash and i love the guy.
Match 6:
Sheamus Vs Jack Swagger
My Pick: Sheamus
Winner: Sheamus
4-2
It was a good match but all this was, was to fill in empty spots for the show. I would have rathered them give the Triple Threat Match more time than this. Sheamus beat Swagger in a big fashion.
Match 7:
Intercontinental Championship:
Cody Rhodes (C) Vs Booker T
My Pick: Cody Rhodes
Winner and still Chmapion, Cody Rhodes
I am now 5-2
Did anyone expect Booker to win? Honestly?? I did enjoy the sneak attacks and it added to the emotion in the match. I am so impressed with Cody and love the gimmic. I see GREAT things in his future. I wouldn't be suprised if he drops the Title in a month or so and gets moved up to the Main Event too.
Match 8:
World Heavyweight Championship:
Chairs match
Mark Henry (C) Vs Big Show
My Pick: Mark Henry
Winner; New World Champion Big Show
5-3
I honestly thought Henry would retain and was shocked by the short match they had. I later learned that he was injured which is why this all happened. I was happy for Show however i was VERY HAPPY! - That Daniel Bryan cashed in and won the World title. Big Congrats to the kid and i hope he enjoys it.
Match 9:
Big Show (C) Vs Daniel Bryan
Winner and NEW World Champion: Daniel Bryan
Match 10:
WWE Championship
TLC Match
CM Punk (C) Vs Alberto Del Rio Vs The Miz
My Pick: CM Punk
I am 6-3 to finish off the PPV and i am very happy about that lol
Winner and Still WWE Champion, CM Punk!
This match ended up being just as good as i imagined. Good Spots by all men and i loved the adversity with Punk cause it helped keep fans emotionally attatched. Great match and great Win by the Best in the World!
I really enjoyed this PPV. A Big Congrats to Daniel Bryan and Zack Ryder.
