Aftermath of No Way Out 2012 - Who Survived the Cage?

I t has been a week since No Way Out 2012. The pay- per- view was not one of the WWE’S best of the year. It had some “good” matches and some that were very forgettable. In this blog, I wanted to share my thoughts about the matches so here I go…

Brodus Clay vs. David Otunga

David has spent a lot of time assisting Johnny Laurinitis and like most lawyers, talking.  I think that it was about time that he got some in ring action. I liked the idea of him attacking Brodus’ leg prior to the ppv. It made the match seem somewhat meaningful. The disappointment in the match for me was that I would rather have seen Brodus win by a pin fall and not a count out. With RAW expanding to three hours, the WWE is going to need both of these guys to have better story lines.

Santino Marella vs. Ricardo Rodriguez

Yes, this Tuxedo match made me laugh but was it really necessary at a ppv? With Santino holding The United States Championship belt, it would have been nice to see him in a match with a real contender. I guess they needed to do something with Rodriguez until Del-Rio returns to action.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus

I thought that was one of the better matches on the card. Both men really gave it their all. With Del Rio being injured, I really wanted Dolph to get back on track and start a winning streak. I feel that Dolph is one of the best in the ring and is capable of doing much more than he has done lately. Sheamus has been on fire lately and has won his matches at the last seven ppvs. I would like to see these two continue their feud and give Dolph another opportunity to be the World Heavy Weight Championship. I’m even thinking that Dolph would be a good candidate to win the briefcase at Money in the Bank.

Christian vs. Cody Rhodes

This was one of the best matches of the evening. Cody and Christian had a good rivalry and the match went back and forth for a while. For me, the best part of the match was when Christian put a Killswitch on Cody and then knocked him out with a “SPEAR.” I wonder who that spear was a tribute too? Lol. I like Christian’s character change and it’s good to see the Intercontinental Title once again being an important part of the ppv.

Fatal Four- Way Tag Team Match

I am excited about the new tag teams in the WWE. Kidd and Gabriel, The Usos, Epico and Primo and The Prime Time Players are helping to make the tag team division exciting again. I do think that Hawkins and Rex should have been included in this match as well because they too are very talented. The Prime Time Players seem to be getting a big push as of late. I liked the idea of having them win this tournament to set up a title shot opportunity.

Layla vs. Beth Phenoix

The ladies division is weak right now and Beth and Natayla are really the only two women who are solid, technical wrestlers. I don’t understand why Beth hasn’t regained the title. It would make sense for hold the belt until Kharma returns and they start their feud. Seeing Layla pinning Beth really did not make any sense to me. If Beth is the strongest diva in the division and she loses to Layla, who then will beat Layla?

Sin Cara vs. Hunico

At this point, Sin Cara is appealing to young fans and the WWE is going to use that to their advantage. Sin Cara needs to work on improving his wrestling skills which I can tell he has done but still needs a lot of work. This was one of his better matches. It was more Americanized than Mexican Style. He didn’t botch as many moves and I think he will come in his own very soon. I personally think working with Rey Mysterio will really help him get better in the ring and over with the fans.

Ryback vs. Two Jobbers

I like what creative has done with Ryback’s character. He has a commanding in ring presence. We have seen weeks of him beating up jobbers but now it is time for him to start a real feud. I think he and Cena should give it a go. It might make for an interesting feud.

Punk vs. Kane vs Daniel Bryan

This was by far the best match at the ppv. All three men worked well together. I honestly thought that somehow Daniel Bryan would walk away with the gold. Yes! Yes! Yes! However, I was wrong. No, No, No! LOL!  Both Bryan and Punk have come a long way since their days in Ring of Honor and are doing a wonderful job of electrifying the crowd. How many of you noticed the great tribute to Benoit and Savage in the match? I thought it was awesome.

I am not exactly sure who AJ is with but her role in the matches keeps the story line interesting. Most fans are still very into Punk and I could see he and AJ together. As for the feud, look for it to continue because it is hot at the moment.

Cena vs. Big Show

This was by far a “horrible” ending to the ppv. Having Big Show being scared of Brodus Clay and needing a bunch of wrestlers to help Cena win the match just destroyed the credibility of the match for me. They are making Show out to be a “Monster Heel” but yet all that was spoiled when others came out to help him. I strongly feel that Cena needed to be fired and have time off for a while to sort things out in his personal life and to get a well needed rest. While he is out, others could certainly step up to the plate.

I am not upset that Johnny was fired but it was a terrible way to end it and a terrible way to fire him. Storyline wise, would have made more since with John Cena getting fired than Johnny but hey, i dont write the stuff do i? lol

So, what did you guys think about the ppv? What do you see happening in the next few weeks that will lead up to The Money in the Bank ppv? Leave me some comments. I would like to hear what you guys are thinking.

Who went Over the Limit?

Hello everyone,

Last night was Over the Limit and boy did a few of the matches did just that. I was very proud of all the guys who participated in the event. The show started out with a YouTube Match as a Pre-Show Match.

Kane vs. Zack Ryder

I honestly didn’t watch this match and had no interest. Kind of glad it was on the Pre Show. That’s really all I’ll say lol

The show actually started for most of us with a People Power Battle Royal going on.

20 Man Battle Royal

Guys in this match included Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks, Great Khali, Tyson Kidd who actually lasted until the last 4. Miz, Alex Riley, David Otunga, Drew McIntyre, Michael McGuillicuty, The Uso’s, Darren Young and Titus O’Neil, William Regal, Heath Slater, Big Zeke, Yoshi Tatsu, Jinder Mahal, JTG and the Returning Christian. IT was a good battle royal and it was great to see a lot of the young athletes out there. Also Great to see Curt and Tyler twice last night, (After the Battle Royal, they were assigned to go rip up signs from the crowd) The final 4 Was Tyson Kidd, Miz, David Otunga and Christian. IT was a great back and forth Series with Christian getting the win to pick which champion (IC or US) to go after. – Both Champions were at Ringside so at first Christian Pics Raw’s Own United States Champion Santino. However later in the night he over hears Cody bashing him, so Christian changes his mind and picks The IC Champion, Cody Rhodes.

Winner: New #1 Cont. to IC Championship, Christian

A friend of mine posted about something pretty interesting …here is his post.
Congratulations to Christian on becoming the New Intercontinental Champion, He hasn't held this Championship since August 10, 2003. This will be his fourth reign as Champion plus did you know that On 5/20/10, Christian beat Ziggler. On 5/20/11, Christian beat Sheamus. On 5/20/12, Christian beat Rhodes to win the IC title.

Seems like he's undefeated for May 20th?

WWE Tag Team Championship Match:

Kofi Kingston and R-Truth © Vs Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger

This was a fabulous tag team match. It was very traditional and very exciting towards the end. It was predictable but it was still very fun. All 4 guys did great in this match and even though Dolph should be in the main events, he needs to stay with Swagger and help develop the Tag division back.

Divas Championship

Layla © Vs Beth Phoenix

This match was just how I thought it was going be. Wasn’t anything spectacular and to be honest, I thought Layla did a great job. I did expect a surprising victory as like a Upset so that works on behalf of Layla cause where she just came back.  However I don’t think layla is working as well as she could be so I don’t think she will have a long reign as champion. To be honest, I see her holding the title only for Kharma to come back, probably around SummerSlam.

Winner and still Divas Champion: Layla

Brodus Clay Vs Miz

I don’t agree with putting this on PPV. The dancing was horrible but funny. I just hated seeing miz being put that threw that. Miz deserves better than that. This was a squash match at its best and that’s all I’ll say about it.

Winner: Brodus Clay

World Heavyweight Championship: Fatal 4 Way

Sheamus © Vs Chris Jericho Vs Randy Orton Vs Alberto Del Rio

I knew this was going to be a good match and it was just that. I thought they did a great job at entertaining the fans. I had a feeling sheamus would win but I wanted Jericho to win badly. Ive always felt it’s more of an enjoyment when a heel is the champion.  With the storyline alone, it would have made more since for him to have pinned Orton but the last 5 mins with all the chain movies with all 4 men were great wrestling and I enjoyed every bit of it. Made me wonder who was actually going to win.

Winner and Still World Champion: Sheamus

IC Championship Match Cody Rhodes © Vs Christian

This match was good and really gave both men good offence. Thought they did what the their purpose was and I cannot wait for them to continue through summerslam. I am not going to dwell on this a whole lot because I think you guys know how I feel about this match lol. Congrats to my best friend for his 4th IC Championship. Welcome Back Bud!

Winner and New IC Champion, Christian!

Ryback Vs Camacho
This was a squash match. Ryback wins which should not have been on ppv. Expessially two in a row. If you want him to be on PPV, give him someone he can really challenge. At least Brodus has a challenge against a Former WWE Champion, Miz.
Winner: Ryback

WWE Championship Match

CM Punk © Vs Daniel Bryan

By Far the best match on the card and rightfully so. All I can say Is WOW! I am so proud of both men and hope to continue seeing this match on the card. Both men are wonderful wrestlers and they showed it during this match. They had a lot of submissions I haven’t even seen in years lol I loved it and it was a fantastic WRESTLING match. I totally agreed with the tapout/pinfall ending. Reminded me of the Me/Benoit tap out/Pinfall that put us in the World title #1 cont. matches. Gonna be a great few matches out of them and I can’t wait for them all. Hands down Daniel Bryan and CM Punk are on equal ground of Being the Best in the world right now. Neither one is better than the other. They are equally great!

Winner and Still WWE Champion – CM Punk

John Laurinaitis Vs John Cena

It was enjoyable to see John L get his ass kicked. Anyone who has ever been fired by Mr. L I am sure enjoyed this match lol however this was predictable but I did enjoy the beating. Big show coming out was not a shocker and to be honest. I love big show as a heel. Good crowd reaction though.

Winner and still GM Of Raw and Smackdown: John Laurinaitis

Thanks for reading! I did enjoy the PPV over all. I thought all the guys did a great job. The next PPV is No Way Out and so far there is one match Named.

John Cena Vs Big Show

Please let me know what your thoughts are.

Over The Limit

I am really excited about watching, “Over The Limit.” There are some great matches on the card. I can definitely see some new feuds developing after this pay per view and leading directly into Summer Slam. So, let’s get right to my predictions…………

John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis

My Prediction: Winner John Laurinaitis

John Laurinaitis’ job as General Manager of SmackDown and RAW is on the line and there is just no way that John is going to lose. He does too good of a job making people hate him. Lol! I can see The Big Show or Brock Lesnar, who are both fired coming to the aid of John Laurinaitis and helping him to get the win. Since Cena’s and Lesnar’s feud is over, I look for Show to turn heel and start a feud with Cena.

CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan
My Prediction: Winner CM Punk
CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan - WWE Championship Match preview at WWE Over the Limit 2012

I am very excited about this match and think that Punk and Bryan are going to steal the show. Both men are equally talented and the match could go either way. I believe the difference in the match will be A.J., Bryans’ ex- girlfriend. I look for her to interfere and give Punk the win by disqualification. I also think that this is the beginning of a new feud that might eventually result in Bryan becoming the new champ in the near future. Yes! Yes! Yes!
World Heavy Weight Title: Fatal Four Way Match
Sheamus, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Alberto Del Rio
My Prediction: Winner Chris Jericho
Sheamus is on a tear right now and has looked pretty impressive in all of his matches. However, I do see him dropping the belt to Chris. Since Chris has returned, he hasn’t won any matches at pay-per-views and I believe that his time is now. I feel that in some way Randy might just help Jericho to get this win. This can set up Randy’s return as a heel and start a feud between Randy and Sheamus. Alberto has recently returned from an injury and I don’t see him getting the belt back just yet.
Kofi Kingston and R-Truth vs. Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger
My Prediction: Winners: Kofi Kingston and R-Truth
Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger
I know that the WWE has been working hard to try and re-build the Tag Team division. Both of these teams are entertaining and have a lot of potential. Unfortunately, Ziggler and Swagger have been on a losing streak that I believe will continue.  Since Kofi and R-Truth just recently won the belts, I don’t think that they will drop them so quickly.
Layla vs. Beth Phoenix
My Prediction: Winner Layla
Beth Phoenix vs. Layla

Just like all of you, I am still trying to figure out what is going on in the Diva’s division. Beth is by far one of the most talented divas on the roster. I have no idea why she lost her title. I can see Layla winning this match and holding on to her title for a short time until Kharma returns to action. Once Kharma is back, I look for her to win the belt from Layla and start a long feud with Beth.

 Zack Ryder vs. Kane

My Prediction: Winner Kane
This match should end the feud between Kane and Zack. I think Zack has a lot of talent but I don’t see him getting the victory over “The Big Red Monster”. Kane has been on a path of destruction and seems to be unstoppable. I can see him winning the match by putting a “choke slam” on Zack. Both of these men really need new people to start fresh feuds with.
I hope that you all enjoyed reading my blog. What are your predictions and thoughts about this pay-per-view? Please comment and let me know what you think.

And on a personal note, “Go New Jersey Devils.”

Who Went to the Extreme?

Last night was the Annual Extreme Rules for WWE. It was imitated from Chicago Illinois, and on this night the crowd in Chicago was on fire and ready for the WWE to go to the Extreme. In Which , they did and really made for a great PPV.

The Pre Show Match: Santino vs. Miz For the United States Championship.

Now I did not watch this on Youtube, All I seen was what the WWE showed on the PPV. I assumed that Santino would retain and I heard this match was a great match that lasted about 5 mins or so. I heard some fans in attendance said that if it had been on the show, that it would have been a potential show stealer. I do not know about that but those two superstars, I can believe it.

Winner and Still United States Champion: Santino Marella  1 – 0

Last Man Standing Match: Randy Orton vs. Kane

I really thought they did a good job at bringing in the fans to start the show. They really enjoyed the Match and honestly so did I. I thought this was the right type of environment for those two. A Regular match or even a No DQ match wouldn’t have done well. This was a perfect setup and a semi-predictable match. However it was fun to watch. Only thing I had a problem with is, if it’s Falls Count Anywhere, Why end up in the ring and pin him in the ring. I enjoyed the match overall but wasn’t happy with the pin in the ring.

Winner: Randy Orton  2-0

Tables Match: IC Champion Big Show vs Cody Rhodes

Going into this match, I really wanted Cody to win. He needs that title way more than Big Show at this point. I didn’t really like the fact that Big Show won the title. Having him win it for only 3-4 weeks? What was the point? Just for a Mania moment? I get the fact they wanted Show to be able to say he has won every title in the WWE but so did I. I had no idea how they was going to have Show go through a table but I just knew they needed the title back on Cody. I was thinking of throwing a table at Show and him punching it away and the title breaking a bit. I was trying to think of different ways but then Cody Kicked Shows knee and he dropped and his foot went through the table. As soon as I saw it, I said.. Brilliant. I didn’t think the after the match attack was needed but Cody got a Baby face reaction once he got up afterwards, so it makes me wonder what they are going to do with Cody.

Winner and new IC Champion: Cody Rhodes 2-1

Brodus Clay w/Hornswoggle  Vs Dolph Ziggler w/Vickie Guerrero and Jack Swagger

To be honest, I wasn’t happy about this. However if you want to get Brodus over which obviously WWE does want to do. The best person for him to get over with in a 4 min Time period, was and is only Dolph Ziggler. I just hope they do so much more with him. He is so talented. Not much to talk about on this match. I predicted during the PPV that Brodus Would win. Considering it was his first PPV match.

Winner: Brodus Clay w/Hornswoggle 3-1

2 out of 3 Falls World Heayweight Championship Match: Sheamus Vs Daniel Bryan

This match was….simply put…Amazing. I 100% loved this match and thought they put on not only a great match but had a lot of time and showed how great they were. I loved the fact the D-Bryan got DQed for Sheamus to win his first fall because to be honest, with Daniel Bryan so hot, it wouldn’t make any since for him to be pinned twice in 1 match. It took 15 mins to get the first fall. That showed me that the WWE does really think a lot of both men and it kinda made since for me why the mania match happened. To be honest though sheamus, please don’t wear that shirt around any girls lol Daniel bryan wouldn’t be so popular with the crowd if it wasn’t for 1. They screwed him at Wrestlemania and 2. The fact he is just so damn good at what he does. He is the next chris benoit (via wrestling) in my eyes. I loved the Headbutt Attempt; it’s nice to see stuff like that from time to time. I do miss Chris a lot so it just makes me smile when I see the respect of a fellow wrestler in the ring. I wasn’t thrilled with the pro-longed Tap Out (pass out) because on Raw he had no problem but all of a sudden his arm is hurting 10 times worse and then he won’t tap out. He isn’t Steve Austin no offence.  I am very proud of both men and they went out there and gave the fans what they wanted to see.

Winner and Still World Champion: Sheamus  4-1

Divas match: Nikki vs Beth

They announced right before the match that Beth was not cleared to wrestle. Then they said Nikki would still wrestle but it was a surprise opponent. I know a lot of people assumed Kharma but I think they should bring her back in a big way.

Divas Match: Nikki © Vs Layla

I was very happy to see Layla back in the WWE. I saw her at Wrestlemania weekend and she looked great. She did a great job when it came to ring rust. You can tell she has worked a lot to get back in the shape she is in. I honestly got excited cause I thought it Michelle. I was just fine with Layla, she looked great.

Winner and new Divas’s Champion: Layla 5-1

Two local Jobbers vs Ryback

I was very disappointed in putting this on a PPV. It did make him look strong though. Thought it was funny people were chanting “Goldberg” though.

Winner: Ryback 6-1

Chicago Street Fight – WWE Championship

CM Punk Vs. Chris Jericho

Punk and Jericho really took things to the “Extreme” last night. That was one hell of a brutal match! They used kendo sticks, the exposed turn buckle and the announcer’s table to badly punish one another which told a great story. And by the way if you think that wrestling is just “pure” entertainment, look at this picture….

Both men did an awesome job of connecting with the crowd. Jericho got the crowd to hate him lol and nobody does this better than Chris. Punk got the crowd behind him as he was defending his family’s honor.  I also think that having Punk’s sister at ringside to support him made the crowd even more emotional and of course pro Punk. Even though they didn’t need it due to being in Chicago but it just added extra emotion to even the fans threw the TV.

At the end of the match, it didn’t make a difference to me who won. The fans were very into the match and both Punk and Chris did a great job of entertaining us. The Jericho Punk rivalry has brought new energy to wrestling. I look forward to seeing the two of them square off against one another again very soon!  After the match and how it went about, these two have such great chemistry that they are far from being over. I hope I am right too, because having Chris and Punk go against each other is good for business. Both brought their “A” game and it was a fabulous match.

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena – No DQ Match

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena Extreme Rules 2012 results
Brock Lesnar has not been inside a WWE ring for eight years. However, you would not know it by watching his match against John Cena. Lesnar incorporated many moves from the UFC into his offense and gave Cena one hell of a beating. Cena got busted open early and took an enormous amount of punishment. However, at the end of match, we saw the old John Cena return.  Cena showed a lot of heart and I believe the crowd actually liked him. I give both men a lot of credit. They worked their asses off!
Bringing Brock back to the WWE was clearly a good move for the business. Brock is able to work a crowd and is the heel who everyone loves to hate. Brock has created a lot of excitement in the WWE and makes people want to watch him weekly, including me. I am sure that Brock will have some major story lines on RAW for a while. I truly feel that match is going to bring great things to the WWE. The goal was to bring the old Cena fans back and them to hate brock even more. It worked like a string being hung over an animal. The fans in Chicago really hated Cena at first, it was more of 60/40 crowd. By the end of the night, everyone was pro cena. It was a great environment and really brought a “real” feel to the WWE. Brock is an animal but his new cage is the WWE Ring. I am just so excited to see where this takes both men. As of right now, It looks like Brock vs HHH which I am thrilled about. We also havnt seen the last of Brock/Cena. Congrats to both guys and I give it 4 ½ stars. It takes a lot to get everyone totally invested like those guys did at Extreme Rules.
Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena Extreme Rules 2012 results
Thanks as always for reading my thoughts and to be honest, the few matches I did get wrong, it turns out I am proud to have been wrong. The WWE did a great job and really gave the fans something to enjoy for years to come. If you are anti Cena or anti Brock. Instead of trying to be anti or pro against these superstars, just sit back and enjoy the ride they are both about to give you. No Matter what your views on UFC (I myself am not a big fan) but it is still a Sport like we give you. Only difference is its an Art Form and they are fighting. Brock coming out in his UFC Stuff really brought a new atmosphere to the WWE that has been needed for a while. Regardless of your views for him, Brock is a Wrestler and he is a fighter. Same as John Cena and everyone else who puts their life on the line to entertain you. Thank you so much for reading and please comment.

Thanks,
Adam
The Next PPV is Over the Limit on May 20th 2012. The Main Event is going to be:
CM Punk (C) Vs Daniel Bryan

If that match alone doesn't sell this ppv, then you need to figure out why exactly you like Wrestling lol. Thanks very much everyone. Until Next time.....

Extreme Rules 2012 Predictions

File:Extreme Rules (2012) Poster.jpg

Extreme Rules is tonight and it’s going to be a heck of a PPV. I am very excited about the Line-Up and Tonight’s PPV is live from Chicago. Not only do we have the main eventers in Chris Jericho and CM Punk but we also have Brock Lesnar in his first WWE Match since 2004. So let’s get to it…

Pre – Show Match:

Miz Vs Santino Marella ©
United States Championship:

Miz and Santino will probably have a decent match on the Pre-Show. I see Santino winning this match. I will be shocked if they have Miz win the title, the only way I see that happening is if they plan on having him appear on the show as Champion for the viewing audience to see.

Prediction: Santino Marella
I Will win: Santino Marella

Beth Phoenix vs. Nikki Bella ©
Diva’s Championship:

Beth and Nikki had a decent match on Raw but the surprise factor was that Beth lost her title. I honestly see Nikki retaining her belt and giving Beth a chance to heal up.

My Prediction: Nikki Bella
Who I think will win: Nikki Bella

Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show ©
Intercontinental Championship:

I think they have an opportunity to do a better job than Wrestlemania but I can see this ending really soon. I would rather see Cody going after Sheamus. So I see Big Show winning this match, however if I am wrong, and Cody wins the title back. I think he needs it way more than Show. The title looks good with Cody and he brings a lot to the title.

My Prediction: Big Show
Who will win: Cody Rhodes

Randy Orton Vs Kane
Falls Count Anywhere:

Randy Orton will win this match and end this rivalry at last. I think it’s been good but very long and kind of at the point where Kane and Cena was at while Cena was waiting for Rock and Mania. I don’t know who will after Kane next; I think it would be interesting if he goes after Punk. I see Kane getting into the Main event picture after this. This will be an entertaining match regardless.

My Prediction: Randy Orton
Who will win: Randy Orton

Sheamus © Vs Daniel Bryan
World Heavyweight Champion: 2 out of 3 Falls

To be honest, I really feel this match will steal the show. I know there are many big matches tonight that I am even looking forward to but this will be the show stealer. It will be hard but I see it. When you have 3 falls to work with, it’s much more entertaining. I am a huge Daniel Bryan fan as well as Sheamus. I am happy for sheamus just as much as I am Daniel. Anything can be better than mania right? lol  As  much as I want Daniel to win the title back, I see Sheamus retaining. I do think that the fall D-bryan gets should be a Tap Out. (BTW I will be shocked if the fan favorite in the match isn’t Daniel Bryan…remember..its Chicago) J

My Prediction: Sheamus
Who will win: Sheamus

CM Punk © Vs Chris Jericho
WWE Championship: Chicago Street Fight

This match is going to be good. I was very happy with their Mania match so I look for this to be even better with a one sided Crowd. I love both of these guys and I think this is the two best guys to be fighting for the title. I will be shocked if CM Punk retains honestly. I think the best way for the WWE to really get Jericho over as a Heel, is for Chris to walk in and beat Punk at his own game. I really look for Chris to win the title, but I also have a feeling he won’t. I think to keep this thing going with main interest is for Chris Jericho to win tonight.

My Prediction: Chris Jericho
Who will win: CM punk

John Cena Vs Brock Lesnar
Extreme Rules Match:

This match is going to be for the weakest heart J I just really wanted to say that. I don’t think there is any way unless a miracle and then I will be upset…lol that Brock isn’t going to walk out as the winner. Why bring him back for him to lose his first match back? He is going to be over with the Chicago Crowd. I agree with a John Cena losing streak. I will just be shocked if it ends any other way. Now I like John, I really do, But he needs this loss to bring his fans back to him. He also needs to be viewed again as a underdog of sorts. He has been the Top Dog and “Superman” if you will, for so long that people no longer believe he is going to lose. I think that’s why Wrestlemania was so special when it came to The Rock winning. That was the best move and no one saw it. This match will be good, this will be the main event, this is what people are watching for. I don’t care if you don’t like Brock or not. This guy has come back for the fans and Vince. Yes he is being paid but so is Cena. If you really knew how much Cena gets paid, you wouldn’t make a money argument lol. I can’t stand people making Money, or he couldn’t make it in any other sport argument. If he couldn’t make it in the UFC, how did he become UFC Champion? I laugh in your face on that lol. Brock is a natural Wrestler and really is going to bring something to the WWE that we havnt seen in a while. John Cena is in such a league of his own that I truly believe Vince will have to bring in big guys like Brock with the fame to face Cena. I wouldn’t be surprised if Batista came back for a short run against Cena. Only cause Cena is so famous and so controversial that only the biggest and the best can face Cena anymore for people to believe it.

My Prediction: Brock Lesnar
Who will win: Brock Lesnar

Thanks for reading and please voice your thoughts.

Wrestlemania 28: Rock or Cena?

WrestleMania 28 was filled with action, drama and a lot of excitement. As a fan, I was thrilled to watch all of the matches live and up close. Now that WrestleMania is over, I would like to share my thoughts and reflections with all of you. I do apologize for this Blog taking so long. Hopefully you all enjoy it.

Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos vs. Beth Phoenix and Eve

My Prediction: Winners: Kelly Kelly and Maria

Who Really Won: Kelly Kelly and Maria- I was 1 and 0.

Although I predicted that Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos would win this match I wasn’t happy that my prediction was correct. Beth is one of the most talented divas in the WWE and a great, skilled technical wrestler. I don’t agree with how she has been being used lately. She and Eve should have easily won this match. I am not really sure what creative was thinking. Beth being pinned for the second time by Maria was really ridiculous. However I do understand Celebrities Winning on the grandest stage of them all. Would have been a special moment for Beth though.

Kane vs. Randy Orton

My Prediction: Winner: Randy Orton

Who Really Won: Kane-  I was 1 and 1

This was a pretty decent match considering that a lot of people weren’t focused on their feud. Both Kane and Orton gave it their all.  In the end, The Red Monster choke slammed  Orton. I think this took a lot of people by surprise because toward the end, The Viper looked like he had it won. Even though their Fued has been a little on the boring side, I am about ready for something new. However I did enjoy their match and hopefully after Extreme Rules, Kane can go after someone else. I wouldn’t mind Kane Vs Sheamus at all going into SummerSlam. However, Congrats to my Buddy Kane. He needs a few Wrestlemania Moments (Besides Chokeslamming Pete Rose)

Team Johnny vs. Team Teddy

My Prediction: Winners: Team Johnny

Who Really Won: Team Johnny- I was 2 and 1.

I had a strong feeling that Team Johnny would win and that The Miz would play a role in the team’s victory. After all, did you really think that The Miz wouldn’t be a part of WrestleMania? He is totally AWESOME! I look for Johnny, as  the new GM of Smack Down and Raw, to bring a lot of controversy and excitement to both shows. I enjoy John being GM because I think it adds a whole lot more drama on to the shows which was needed in that department. I’m not a big fan of Face GM’s because I have always felt that in this business, it Needs to be the GOOD guys to overcome, not the heel. Congrats to Team Johnny…Oh and the Eve/Ryder thing, was not needed at Wrestlemania.

The Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes

My Prediction: Winner Cody Rhodes

Who Really Won: The Big Show – I was 2 and 2

The Big Show’s losing streak at WrestleMania finally came to an end after he gave Cody a knockout punch. I am happy for Show because he deserved a WrestleMania moment. On the Flip side, Cody Needs the IC title a whole lot more than Show does. However, I do believe that Cody will play a big role in the future of the WWE. Cody can only go UP from here and I just hope it comes soon. Cody Is so talented and probably my favorite on Smackdown right now. I do look for Cody to hold many more championship titles in the future.

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

My Prediction: Winner: Sheamus

Who Really Won: Sheamus – I was 3 and 2

As a wrestling fan, I expected to see a match. I was kind of surprised and yet very upset that Sheamus won in just 18 seconds. Sheamus is one of my favorites and I am excited that he won the title. However, I just didn’t expect the kiss of death to do in poor Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan is another one of my favorites and I support him 100%. I love that the fans have really gotten behind him after Wrestlemania cause to be honest, I am not afraid to make this Comparison. Daniel Bryan is the Next (Wrestling wise only guys, ik I’ll get smart remarks for this) Chris Benoit in that respect. Chris was a all-around Athlete and he could wrestle anyone and have a great match.) I am a big fan of Sheamus and I knew he would win the title at Mania this year. However I was major disappointed about the win.

Jericho vs. Punk

My Prediction: Winner: Jericho- I was 3 and 3

It was actually a good idea to have Punk retain his title by forcing Jericho to tap out to the Anaconda Vice. This allows their feud to continue. Both men have great mic skills and are doing a fantastic job with their story line. I do look for Jericho to pull off a shocker at Extreme Rules, in Chicago. I know a lot of people are upset with this particular storyline, but I am not. A lot of people have this problem (alcoholism) and to be honest it’s a perfect way to get people emotionally involved. The Roles are kinda reversed in a way when Punk was a heel and Jeff Hardy was still in WWE. Theirs was about Drugs whicih is also a touchy subject. Just intresting TV I say.

The Undertaker vs. Triple HHH

My Prediction: Winner: The Undertaker- I am 4 and 3

I am so happy about this match because other than the First HBK/Taker match at Wrestlemania. This was by far the besti have ever seen. Both Taker and Triple H took a lot of punishment that night. The match was about thirty minutes long and chair shots, steel steps and sledge hammers left both men with welts and bruises.  It was awesome to see these two legends in the ring along with Shawn and no matter who won, I respect all three men a lot. I truly felt that this was a End of an Era. Shawn is retired; we have an untold story of Undertaker and Triple and where they stand in the WWE. That match was by far the best of the night and rightfully so. Kudos to Triple H and Undertaker. Shawn added a lot of extra emotion and it really added a lot to this match. I loved the hug at the end as well. All I can say is…Fantastic Match!

John Cena vs. The Rock

My Prediction: Who Will Win: The Rock

Who Really Won- The Rock- I am 5 and 3

This was the most anticipated match on the card. I had a feeling that Cena was going down on this night. I thought John Cena in my mind would win. My heart told Rocky. The Rock showed why he is one of the best in the business by delivering “The Rock Bottom” and getting the victory over Cena. I don’t think their feud has ended. Cena will be pretty busy dealing with both Brock and The Rock in the future. I do give Cena a lot of credit as he is a tough competitor. This match was very good and considering what they had to follow up, they did an excellent job. Rocky really did show why he is “The Greatest Superstar of all-Time.” Congrats to Rock and John for putting on a great Main-Event that had a story told for over a year. I wouldn’t mind a Brock Lesnar Vs John Cena Vs Rock match at SummerSlam this year. Only because Brock beat Rock at SummerSlam 02 I think. Also you have the story with Cena and rock. Only adds to it and I think it would be great to have such a main event without a Title.

I know this doesn’t have much about Wrestlemania but this part is about the Night After.

Thank You to the fans for giving an amazing ending to that weekend. The fans in attendance in the American Airlines Arena really made their mark in History. They made their voices heard due to the dismay of Daniel Bryan. I am in total support and I am glad the fans have continued this Trend in the weeks to come. Brock Lesnar returned and really gave a shocking moment for Raw as well. I am very happy Brock is back and I am expecting Great things. He has returned to a place that made him famous in the first place.
